From Phuket International Airport, visitors can take the Airport Bus or taxi directly to Phuket Old Town conveniently. Inside Phuket town, there is a free air-conditioned shuttle bus running every 15 minutes from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM that stops at key points in Old Town. Another option is to take the local Phuket songthaew (called “Poh Tong”) from the bus terminal to Old Town, which is an affordable way to experience local life.
